Web-B-Mail

A very simple Web-based messaging system. Only registered users can mail other registered users, thus cutting out spam. You can let your users upload their own pictures, or allow only the admin to do so. Messages stay on the website, but can send regular email notifications when a user gets a Web-B-Mail message. It was originally intended for use by online classes or classes of small children for whom Internet email access might be inadvisable, but has also been used by dating services and other small communities to keep communications out of "regular" email and limited to the site.

ICQ Online Tester

This module tests the online state of any ICQ user and returns 1 for online or 0 for offline. It downloads the smallest ICQ online gif and analyses it to determine the online state of the user. No ICQ account is necessary. No ICQ server login is necessary. This makes it quick to return a result. It was designed to replace the trademark large ICQ flower GIF that ICQ promotes as a form of online test suitable for webpages because it didn't fit into the footer of my website. This was coded initially for my website and then developed into a useful Perl module registered at CPAN. HooDaHek

HooDaHek (hoo-dah-hek, as in 'who-the-heck?') is a collection of Asterisk AGI scripts, CGI scripts, and MySQL tables intended to implement your own in-house Caller ID database and notification services. I wrote these scripts originally to enable my household phone system to identify who was calling, be able to modify and specify my own custom CallerID labels, and to have the phone system alert via different ways.
