The Speakers Corner program combines two functions: a threaded discussion board and an online guestbook. Both are applications where the end user gets the right to write some ascii data to the webserver, which can be read immediately by all other users. The difference is the organisation of the data: with a guestbook, every new contribution is shown on top or on the bottom of the page, with a discussion board reactions on contributions of others will be places togeter with them.
The Oneliner is a kind of message board where you can leave small messages, a little like a tagwall. Besides it's very small and neat, it may look anyway you want so it'll fit any design. You may also specify the number of rows that should be displayed. Other features are multiple content files, archiving, censoring and spam protection. This script requires SSI.
This message board emulates one of the major Webmaster Resource message boards and works very well. Along with great admin functions it is truly an easy to maintain board.
VAXbb is a fast, text-only bulletin board for use on the Web. It's written in PERL, and runs on UNIX box (though an NT port should be possible). Its functionality and use is based loosely on a VAX-terminal-based bb system that the author used in school.
