Kagora is a web forum system, written in Perl, using a MySQL database backend. Features include: Moderation - The Kagora system allows direct as well as moderated forums. In direct forums, messages appear as soon as they're posted. In moderated forums, they need to be previously approved by a moderator; Intuitive interface - Forums appear to the user in three frames: a menu, used for navigation, a list of messages, and a frame used to display messages and to post new messages; Skins - Forums are associated to skins that enable to customize their look; and Support for i18n - All messages produced by the system are grouped in a separate module.

BAZAAR is a fully GPL WWW conferencing program with a MySQL back end. It is based on an earlier version of WWWThreads, but significant changes and enhancements have been made. FutureForum is a Web-based forum software written in Perl. It uses MySQL for storing data on backend and uses DBI:DBD module.
