Networking Tools related scripts & softwares
This very unique tool has been making web masters a lot of extra money. By having PPM sponsors on your site, simply run this script and INSTANTLY have thousands of unique visitors to your site. All with unique IP and DNS servers, all will increase your ad revenue tremendously.
The Multi Router Traffic Grapher (MRTG) is a tool to monitor the traffic load on network-links. Generates HTML pages containing graphical images which provide a LIVE visual representation of this traffic. These graphs can be a great first step when network troubleshooting.
Runs on Linux, Unix, Windows, and many other operating systems. Requirements are a PERL enabled OS, and a device or OS that supports SNMP.
A lot of arp spoof/poisoning virus are spread nowadays by malicious sites. The infected machines in the local network will send all their neighbors with faked packets and tamper your machine's arptable and pretend to be the real gateway. At the same time, they will cheat the gateway and pretend to be your machine. By this way, all your network traffic is hijacked by the middle-man virus machine.
This Perl script will monitor the gateway's mac address in arptable of the local computer. If it is different from the default value (set in $gatewaymac, gatewayip), the script will alarm and change the adapter to a new IP and MAC address automatically from a predefined list.
This script runs under windows and it requires the "macshift" (a simple windows MAC address changing utility, free, open-source) developed by Nathan True.
This is one software which does both Ip scanning and Ip subnet calc.It is written in Perl with frontend Tk.A subroutine written in c++,is incl into the perl program. For this InlineCPP perl module is used.Developed in Fedora-core-4 Linux environment. This project was done to have most network monitoring works on a same window instead of jumping to commandprompt and browser. IP scanner part: This uses multithreading to print details of the ip addresses in given range. It can scan local subnet and network and check internet reachability, loopback status and gateway functionality. Subnet calculation part: Given an host ip and mask, it will find it's broadcast ip and subnet ip.Given a n/w ip and any one data (no. of hosts, no. of subnets, mask) it will print as a tabular column, the best subnet solution. It is different in that,it has many troubleshooting checks with easy interface in a single sheet. It has many local computer details in a single sheet. It has hints for the users about subnet
Give this script a seed device and SNMP community and off it goes. Polling for CDP neighbor tables and also the route table it will inventory the network and than collect useful information (IOS version, serial numbers, etc...). It currently outputs to csv, or Kiwi CatTools, or Cisco Works 2000 Resource Manager Essentials.
Keep Surfers Coming Back! Offer internet connection speed testing on your site with Web Radar. No complicated cgi scripts...simply upload the html page and you're ready to go!
Web Radar supports dialup, DSL, Cable, and any other internet connections.
This script as its name implies, is a system monitor program that runs on a unix server. It checks every 5 minutes to see that your servers main functions are operating within normal parameters and emails you immediately if they are not. Below is a list of what this script checks for. Per-Process Memory Usage Global Memory Usage Swap Memory Usage CPU Usage by limits Disk Space Usage Load Average SMTP Service POP3 Service TELNET Service FTP Service All the above are monitored by preset limits which you set. All are 100% configurable by you to make managing your server a LOT easier. The email feature can easily page you also by using an existing email to page gateway. Currently this script is only designed for linux systems. If you run other variants of Unix you will need to configure some parts of the program to use it properly. If you run NT, forget it.
This is a set of Perl scripts that utilizes the standard networking tools (ping, traceroute, nslookup, nmap, whois and dig) with most options and makes them available with the Webmin Look & Feel. It also gives an interface to Whois and it features an IP Subnet Calculator that calculates netmasks and gives you the smallest available netmask for a given number of hosts.
NET Utilities is a web interface that allows users to use the ping, traceroute, dig and dns lookup utilities for various tests and sys. checks.
IDIA creates a static way of communicating with computers which have been assigned dynamic IP addresses. In other words, idia makes it possible for the public to access your computer as a game, web, ftp, mail, or news server via one permanent internet address. This script is available for PHP and Perl completely free of license restrictions.
