Navigation related scripts & softwares
This is a menu specially designed for web applications. That is because of it's features for altering menu items on the fly. You can replace larger parts of the menus after it has been loaded. The layout of the menu is controlled by CSS. The code is Object Oriented(or "Object based") so it should be easy to add new features later on.
The script allows creating DHTML menus with several levels of nestings. To create a menu, write an array of titles & URLs and pass it to a JavaScript function. The appearance is controlled by Style Sheets, so you can easily change colors, dimensions, background images, etc. Top level elements are purely HTML (anchor tags with id attributes), so that the site can be browsed by the users with JavaScript disabled and so that its structure is transparent for search engines. Also, unlike commercial analogs, this script is short (about 100 lines of code) and written in “clear language”. Tested with IE 6.0, FireFox 1.0.5, Netscape 7.2, Opera 8.5.
One of the most advanced accessible list-based/CSS driven website menu scripts available worldwide. Simple-to-use and highly cross-browser. Top features - accessible to assistive technology (screen readers), search engine friendly, Section 508 compliant, completely CSS driven, endless number of submenu levels, all modern browsers fully supported, possible different style for each menu or menu item, full window size detection in all supported browsers, fast loading, looks and feels the same on all supported browsers. Successfully tested on Windows, Mac and Linux. Free for non-commercial use. Free unlimited in time support for all commercial users.
XML Menu is a revolutionary new and better approach to web menu design. Instead of menu content being described by placing unordered list elements on every single page of your website, XML Menu uses a single XML file to describe menu content, and CSS to describe menu presentation, or in other words, look and feel. This license is for non-commercial, non-Government use only. See the full license requirements for details.
Floating menu that follows user scrolling. Just create an absolutely-positioned DIV block with menu in it and leave the rest to the script, which will ensure that the menu will return to the specified browser window corner when the user scrolls the page. Javascript turned off will just mean the menu will stay in its initial place.
Internet has a lot of scripts with the name "Drop Down Menu". One day I needed to make such menu for my site. I have rummaged a heap of sites and archives with scripts. And not found what I looked for. On the Net scripts shared on two variants. The first - utterly worthless scripts. The second - too complex heap up and chargeable.
And I simply had to write the script, here it:
